After-School Program

Girls Incorporated offers affordable after-school programming for girls ages 6-18. Limited transportation is provided from local schools to our centers and home. We are open from 1:30 to 7:00, Mondays through Fridays, during school closings and holidays, and for nine-week day camps each summer. Girls are involved in age-appropriate, interactive, hands-on and engaging programming in the following core categories: Health and Sexuality, Leadership and Community Action, Sports and Adventure, Careers and Life Planning, Culture and Heritage, and Self-Reliance and Life Skills. Daily homework assistance and tutoring is provided. Award-winning programs are offered in the areas science/math/technology, substance abuse prevention, health/nutrition/active lifestyles, personal safety, economic literacy, media literacy and substance abuse prevention.

The mission of Girls Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. For over thirty years, Girls Inc. has been serving girls, ages 6-18, in Cobb County with informal education, life skills programming, and recreational opportunities through after-school and summer camp programs, as well as through outreach programs taken to schools, churches, youth agencies and recreational facilities.
