Free Tutoring in Cobb County

2009-2010 School Year Reduced or Free Lunch Students attending Cooper Middle, Griffin Middle Smitha Middle, Tapp Middle, Osborne High School qualify for free tutoring. Private and/or semi-private tutoring is conducted in the student’s home or at the library/community center/church or apartments. Specific achievement goals are made for each student based on the results of a grade-level pre-test, which allows Academic Coaches to determine the weak areas of each student and develop a customized program.

• Teacher recommendations are requested by the parent to help the student stay on track.
• Individual student achievement plans are developed to customize the student’s tutorial program.
• Academic Coaches Tutoring’s custom education plan and specific goals are for reading, language arts and math.
• Progress reports are provided every 2 weeks.
• Final student assessment includes comparison of starting(pre-test) and ending (post-test)testing data.
• Excellent track record of proven results year after year.
