Growing Together

Growing Together is a series of five, 1.5 hour sessions designed to help parents and 9-11 year old girls communicate more effectively about puberty, values and life choices. Girls Inc. creates an environment where girls and parents together learn about healthy communication skills, tips on approaching sensitive topics, and how to openly share differing opinions. The goals of this program are to help parents feel more comfortable discussing personal values and sensitive growth issues with their daughters, and for daughters to see their parents as life guides and educators on values.

The mission of Girls Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. For over thirty years, Girls Inc. has been serving girls, ages 6-18, in Cobb County with informal education, life skills programming, and recreational opportunities through after-school and summer camp programs, as well as through outreach programs taken to schools, churches, youth agencies and recreational facilities.
