Planning & Evaluation Committee


The Planning & Evaluation Committee is responsible for:
  1. Planning, organizing, and coordinating the Cobb County Nonprofit Grant process;
  2. Providing oversight on the County Needs Assessment Process; and,
  3. Assisting in evaluation of Collaborative operations.
The Planning & Evaluation Committee meets monthly at 2pm at The Mansour Center,  located at 995 Roswell Street, Marietta, Ga 30060.  

Grant Review Process

The FY2011- 2012 Cobb County Non-Profit Grant Review Process will begin with the Request for Proposal Meetings to be held in March 2010. 

  Timeline for this funding cycle is:

  • March 2010 - Grant application will be released
  • April 2010 - Recruit Peer Review Team Members Recruited 
  • April 2010 - Cobb County Nonprofit Grant Application DEADLINE    Peer Review Teams will be trained in April.  Application reviews and site visits will begin in April
  • May 2010 - Finish reviewing applicants and conducting site visits. Scores will be reviewed by Peer Evaluation Committee (PEC).
  • June 2010 - CCC Executive Committee will review PEC recommendations on funding.  CCC Members will vote on recommendations.  Final recommendations will be presented to the Cobb County Commission Chairman.
  • September 2010 - Applicants will be notified regarding grant awards
  • October 2010 - Grant funding cycle begins.  Grant contracts mailed.
