My Life is a Gift: Suicide Prevention – Outreach Wellness Learning webinar

In Georgia, suicide rates have steadily climbed 16% in the last decade and is affecting more individuals each day around our nation. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death overall in Georgia, making it a major public health concern. It is the 2nd leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10-34 and the 4th leading cause of death for individuals who are 35-54 years of age.
Through this training, participants will:
1. Explain the impact of suicide and the relation to behavioral health and trauma.
2. Describe signs, symptoms and types of interventions effective for suicide prevention.
3. Explore ways to provide support to individuals after a suicide attempt
