“Shine the Light” Human Trafficking Awareness Night

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and Roswell Street Baptist Church is hosting a community-wide information and training event to enlighten the community and protect our most vulnerable children and young adults.

It is estimated that there are 1.5 million human trafficking victims in the United States. Atlanta is in the top 14 cities. 244,000 American children and youth estimated to be at risk, with the average entry age of 12-16 years old. Every month in Georgia, 354 minors are sold for sex to 7,200 men. On average, 100 juvenile girls are exploited each night in Georgia.
