Councils

Children and Families

The Policy Council for Children & Families was the first council created under the Collaborative to provide oversight of a funding award from the Family Connection Partnership.

Today, the Council meets  bi-monthly at 8:30 am and participants hear a variety of presentations covering trends, programs, analysis and events impacting Cobb citizens. Participants also have the opportunity to network and learn from each other. Please check calendar for scheduled meeting dates.

Homelessness Council

The Homelessness Council – formerly known as the Cobb Human Services Coalition – is an association of agencies and community organizations that work together to reduce homelessness and poverty in Cobb County. Members share resources and expertise to increase education, economic opportunity, decent housing, heath benefits, and other services for Cobb’s homeless and at-risk residents. The Council supports the work behind the Point in time Count (an exercise that counts all homeless individuals on a certain date within a determined time frame) as well as the annual Homeless Memorial & Vigil.

The Council meets bi-monthly on Wednesdays at 10am. For meeting dates and locations, please refer to our calendar.

Workforce Partner's Council

The  Workforce Partner’s Council, under the direction of CobbWorks, promotes the development of job resources and skilled workers for the workforce in Cobb County. CobbWorks also provides a variety of trainings related to acquiring and maintaining employment.

Workforce Partners meetings are held bi-monthly on Thursday mornings at CobbWorks (463 Commerce Park Drive, Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30060). For a schedule of meetings, please see our calendar.
