Cooling Assistance

Senior Households (All adults 65+ or children 17 and under): We will begin making appointments on April 1, 2024, at 8:30am for Cooling Assistance for households where all adults are 65+ and for homebound individuals (documentation must be provided). You can book your appointment online here or by calling our automated appointment line at 770-817-4666.

General Public: The general public may begin making appointments on May 1, 2024, at 8:30am, if funding is available. Any appointments for the general public booked before May 1, no matter the appointment date will be cancelled. There are no exceptions to this.

Homebound Households: Do not book an appointment online. Please call 770-773-7730 and select option 8. Leave a message and one of our staff will return your call.

Free internet and Tablet

The Affordable Connectivity Program is a government assistance program designed to ensure that low-income households can afford the broadband they need for work, education, healthcare, and more. Head Start & Early Head Start

High-quality early childhood education is the foundation for  healthy development and academic success. Head Start programs– offered at Tallatoona from the beginning–promote school readiness, a love for reading and learning, health and nutrition, and social development. Our six Head Start Centers provide more than 600 students per year with a preschool education.

Weatherization & Energy Assistance

Safety net programs help the most vulnerable among us. Low-income seniors and families receive help with energy costs, along with energy efficiency education. Some permanently reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient.
