Child Abuse Prevention Month 2023
2023 EVENTS

Friday, March 31, is #WearBlueDay2023
Wear blue on Friday, March 31, to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAP) strong.
Cobb Collaborative will have a social media feature for this date, so share your selfies in comments on our Facebook page. We also encourage everyone to share on your own social media outlets to promote CAP and further awareness and advocacy for child abuse prevention.
April 13, 10:00-11:30AM
Cobb Collaborative is presenting a virtual screening Resilience, a one-hour documentary that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the birth of a movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress. A discussion will be held after the screening. Click here for information and registration.
April 18, 2:00-3:30PM
Cobb Collaborative presents Virtual Mandated Reporter Training. Child serving professionals and volunteers may suspect child abuse or have a child disclose abuse to them through their work with children. However, barriers such as fear of reporting, the inability to recognize all forms of child maltreatment, and vague organizational policies may prevent professionals from making a report of child maltreatment. Click here for more information and registration.
April 24, 10:00AM-12:00PM
Cobb Collaborative presents Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children training in-person at the Tillman House Resource Center in Smyrna. Stewards of Children® teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Click here for more information and registration. Please note that registration is limited to 30 attendees and a waitlist feature will be available should the event reach capacity.
Visit our Cobb Collaborative Events page for other training opportunities and Collaborative events.
