Mindful Self Compassion

April 28 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Many of us have been surviving the last year with little support and unprecedented stress. Especially as helping professionals, we can find ourselves truly out of gas to continue giving when we ourselves are also suffering. Mindful Self-compassion can be a resource for us to navigate grief, stress, and other painful emotions. Come join us at one, two or all four sessions to learn more about how mindfulness and self-compassion can strengthen your resilience to continue caregiving in such painful times. You will leave with some concrete tools at each unique workshop to practice self-compassion and an understanding of the science of how these practices can help us live with more ease and well-being

Diane Hilleary, LCSW, CEDS is a psychotherapist and mindfulness instructor with more than 15 years experience teaching skills and strategies to strengthen emotional intelligence and well-being. Diane is a Trained Teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion curriculum and founding director of the Atlanta Center for Self-Compassion. Diane’s work is research based, trauma-informed, and infused with social justice to empower clients to find freedom from shame and live with more compassion towards themselves and the world

We are grateful to the Greater Atlanta COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund, a joint effort from Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and United Way of Greater Atlanta for funding mental health services.
