About: Driven by a deep passion for service to the community, Irene is focused on advancing access to essential services including healthcare, education, and social support for all residents. Her work is grounded in the belief that every individual—regardless of background, circumstance, or income – deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Irene is an alum of several leadership cohorts including Leadership Cobb, Regional Leadership Institute, Cobb 101, Honorary Commanders and was an Education Policy Fellow for the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education. She believes that effective leadership is rooted in continuous learning, which provides space to explore complex challenges. She serves on several local advisory boards and is the 2026 President of the South Cobb Business Association. She has been recognized for her community service at the state and local levels with several commendations.
Prior to joining the Collaborative, Irene held numerous volunteer leadership positions with Georgia PTA at the local, district and state level and served on several local nonprofit boards. She worked in the financial services field for a number of years prior to becoming a nonprofit professional. All of these experiences have positioned her to expand the Collaborative’s role in the community as a programmatic and thought leader in the core initiatives.
Favorite way to relax: Irene enjoys attending concerts with her husband and reading history.
