Q2 Birth to 5 Strategy Team Meeting

As the local representative in Cobb County for our regional coalition of Resilient Georgia NW Metro, Cobb Collaborative hosts quarterly Birth-5 (B5) Strategy Team Meetings. 

This meeting will feature Shawnell Johnson, PAACT Director from GEEARS.

These meetings bring together local leaders, agencies, stakeholders, and nonprofit organizations who support early learning, literacy, and mental health in our birth-5 population. With 90% of brain development happening in the first 5 years of life, our B5 meetings emphasize the need for a sturdy foundation for school readiness and equitable opportunity to thrive through positive experiences needed to support social, emotional, and cognitive development. 

From the direct service providers who share resources with families, to the local policymakers who advocate for early learning experiences, B5 Strategy Teams are a place for us to drive awareness, share best practices, uplift local services and protective factors, and gain insight on how to implement effective programs, like The Basics, that support families in our community.

Who is this event for? Meetings are open to any organization, agency, or individual who serves expecting parents and families with children ages 0-5 in Cobb County and across the state of Georgia.
