Resilience: Movie Screening and Virtual Panel

May 21, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

For more than 65 years, May has been observed as National Mental Health Awareness Month by organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Mental Health America (MHA). Mental health is important all year-round, but emphasizing these issues in May provides the opportunity to come together to show our support. The Cobb Collaborative brings capacity-building resources and trainings from these organizations and others to our community in support of our Mind Your Mind mental health initiative. You and your team are invited to join us for a viewing of the documentary ResilienceResilience is a one-hour film that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent toxic stress. We encourage you to watch the film and then have a discussion among your team members about your impressions, take-aways and how you will use this information as you serve your clients. A discussion guide can be found here.
Join us on our YouTube page for the movie screening!
Immediately following the screening we will host a facilitated panel discussion with mental health experts from Cobb County. Register HERE to receive the Zoom link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
