Resiliency Week – Resilient Cobb Summit

February 6 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Bringing HOPE to ALL

Dive into the framework of HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) with our keynote speaker, Dr. Stan Sonu, as we explore how to build more trauma-responsive and resiliency-focused systems in Cobb. This half-day summit will include a cross-sector panel discussion with local leaders, an update from Resilient Georgia and an opportunity for collaboration.

Dr. Sonu is a double-board certified pediatrician with a passion for teaching about ACEs and training future clinicians on effective and patient-centered ways to address trauma in primary care. Following his keynote address there will be a Q&A will Dr. Sonu.

The Summit also includes a panel discussion about the four building blocks of HOPE.

The panelists are:

  • Dr. Jyll Walsh, Assistant Director of Prevent Child Abuse Georgia
  • Ana Murphy, Asst. Director of Student Support, CCSD
  • Chloe Young, Family Programs & Grants Manager, PaintLove
  • Brandon Jones, CEO/Founder of Skrews4Life
  • Lesleigh Knotts, Mental Health Program Coordinator, Cobb Collaborative

Following the panel discussion and Q&A, we will have an activity that focuses on putting the HOPE framework into action.
