Dwell @ 750 Summer Reading Success

Summer reading 2023

On Wednesday, July 19, 2023 the Collaborative was honored to celebrate tremendous summer reading success at the Dwell @ 750 community in Marietta. Readers in this community turned in 11,925 reading minutes with two weeks left to go in summer reading! That’s almost 200 hours of quality reading time! We are so proud of these amazing young readers and their families!

Each week this summer, we have partnered with Cobb County Public Library to support summer reading by distributing books and prizes to readers in the Dwell @ 750 and Hillcrest communities. We look forward to these visits each week and love seeing children and families being excited about reading!

Shout outs of BIG THANKS to…

  • Cobb County Public Library and our friend Katherine who came out each week to encourage the kids and collect their summer reading logs! The work and advocacy of the Library is tremendous and they are a valued partner of the Collaborative.
  • Marietta City Schools for their partnership in the #LiteracyAndJusticeForAll initiative. We were honored to have Superintendent, Dr. Grant Rivera, and Chief Impact Officer, Kim Blass, with us at the celebration on Wednesday!
  • McCleskey-East Cobb Family YMCA for providing for families and children in Cobb County!
  • Dwell Communities and The Church At Dwell for partnering with us to support children and families in your communities!

We absolutely LOVE promoting summer reading and getting to be involved in communities in Cobb County! We are proud of the success of the readers at Dwell @ 750 and are cheering them on in the coming school year…and beyond!
